How to present IT support, software, data, helpdesk, and consulting skills clearly.

IT and consultancy CVs should show problem solving, communication, tools, and project experience. Even entry-level applicants can show value through training, projects, internships, and support tasks.

Choose a clear title: IT Support Assistant, Helpdesk Technician, Junior Developer, Data Analyst Assistant, Business Analyst Intern, Technical Support, or Junior Consultant.

In the summary, mention your technical area and how you help users or teams. Example: Entry-level IT support applicant with knowledge of troubleshooting, hardware setup, basic networking, and user assistance.

List technical skills carefully. Include tools you can explain in an interview, such as Microsoft Office, Excel, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python, helpdesk systems, networking basics, or cloud tools.

Add project experience if you lack formal work history. Describe the project goal, your role, tools used, and result.

Use LinkedIn, GitHub, portfolio, or project links when they are professional and updated. Test links before sending your CV.

For consultancy roles, highlight communication, research, reporting, process improvement, client support, and presentation skills.

Keep the CV easy to scan. Technical recruiters may search for keywords, but the final CV should still make sense to a human reader.
