OFW Resume Tips for GCC Countries

Beginner-friendly CV tips for Filipino workers applying across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
For OFWs applying in GCC countries, a CV should be complete, honest, and easy to verify. Recruiters may need to check your experience, passport availability, skills, certificates, and references before recommending you.
Write your target job clearly. Examples include Nanny, Housemaid, Personal Driver, Electrician, AC Technician, Warehouse Assistant, Cashier, Waiter, Office Assistant, or Caregiver.
Add your current country and contact number with country code. If you are already in the UAE or another GCC country, mention your visa status and availability because employers may prioritize applicants who can start soon.
For domestic service roles, describe trust and practical duties: childcare, cleaning, cooking, laundry, ironing, pet care, elderly support, school pickup, or safe driving. Avoid vague phrases like all-around only.
For skilled workers, list tools, machines, repair tasks, installation work, maintenance duties, and safety steps. Employers want to know what you can actually do on site.
Add certificates and licenses where available. TESDA certificates, driving licenses, safety training, food safety, first aid, and trade certificates can strengthen your profile.
Use short bullet points, not long paragraphs. Agencies often review many applicants, so clear bullets help them match you to the right role.
Never add false experience or fake certificates. It can damage your application and create problems during verification or employment processing.
